Will they keep it up?
1. Victor Olofsson and the Sabres PP
The Sabres PP is ranked #1 in the NHL, operating at a 42.9% clip and being led by Victor #Goalofsson.
Tonight, the Ducks will try to avoid getting into penalty trouble and allowing the Sabres to set up Olofsson in his trademark spot at the top of the circle.
Anaheim’s head coach Dallas Eakins said he doesn’t want to see the Sabres get their PP on the ice, so the Ducks may try a more disciplined approach tonight against the Sabres.
Ducks coach Dallas Eakins when asked about the Sabres: “I don’t want to see their power play, that’s for sure”

2. Linus Ullmartk
Coming off an impressive 41 save effort in the Sabres 3-2 SO win over the Florida Panthers, Linus Ullmark gets the nod in net against the Ducks.
The Sabres are posting the second best 5v5 SV% in the NHL this season with new Goaltending coach Mike Bales and Ullmark is a big reason why.
Ullmark ranks 3rd in the league with a .968 5v5 SV% with 98 minutes of 5v5 action.
He will try to continue his strong start to the season against a Ducks team with 12 5v5 goals in their six games this season.
3. Jack Eichel vs The Ducks
Jack Eichel has recorded 8 points in 8 games against the Ducks so far in his career.
He has registered 2 goals and 6 assists, Eichel will look to continue his point per game pace against the Ducks as the Sabres try to start off the California road trip with a win.
Opposing Player to Watch – John Gibson vs. Sabres
John Gibson is an outstanding goaltender for the Ducks, he has 122 wins in 241 games, a.922 sv% and a 2.41 GAA.
Despite his great numbers, Gibson has struggled a bit against the Sabres thus far in his career.
Gibson has only one win in four games against Buffalo, and has surrendered 7 even strength goals in those games.
The Sabres know they can beat Gibson, and will look to add another loss in Gibson’s column tonight.
