It was a very solid week for the Buffalo Sabres’ prospects in their respective leagues. Buffalo’s 2019 seventh overall selection, Dylan Cozens has had an amazing start to his season with the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League. Cozens really made a great impression on the coaching staff as well as the fans who are hoping that he’ll be able to step into a top nine role with the Sabres next season and be a contributor offensively.
Buffalo’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Rochester Americans have also just started their season last week and some of the Sabres’ top prospects such as Tage Thompson and Rasmus Asplund are already making great impressions down the road in Rochester. Asplund and Thompson should be some of the first players that would be called up from the Amerks when there are injuries in Buffalo.
