RECAP:

The Sabres were without Robin Lehner in tonight’s matchup against the Arizona Coyotes. Dan Bylsma said he was out with an upper-body injury which I assume is a head injury that he sustained after being run like 3 times against the Colorado Avalanche. Lehner had a bad concussion 2 years ago.

Late in the 1st period, Jack Eichel took the puck end to end and sniped the puck past Domingue to put Buffalo up 1-0. Jack has 21 points in his last 20 games. this was Jack’s 1st goal in his last 14 games and he’s on a 6 game point streak.

Eichel picked the puck off of a Coyote shot in the defensive zone, he carried it down the ice and fed the puck to jake McCabe, McCabe gave it to Evan Rodrigues and ERod lit the lamp for the 2nd straight game to put the Sabres up by 2. Rodrigues is really proving to Bylsma and Murray that he deserves to stay up here and be the 4th line center here going forward.

Evander Kane took a slash to the wrist late in the 2nd period and went right to the dressing room. But he did return for the 3rd period.

Max Domi fired a shot past Nilsson in the slot to make it a 2-1 game. Domi really had a nice game for the Yotes tonight. I was really impressed by him. Nilsson stoned him a few times tonight.

With 6 minutes left in regulation, Jamie Mcginn found a loose puck in front of the net that went off of Jake McCabe’s skate and the former Sabre jammed the puck home to tie the game up at 2.

Gionta and Rodrigues both had some grade A chances late in the 3rd period but they couldn’t beat Louis Domingue.

this game couldn’t have ended in a worse way. With only 18 seconds left in the game, Radim Vrbata put the puck through a lot of traffic and beat Nilsson to seal the deal for the Yotes.

The Sabres have lost back to back games against the two worst teams in the league. Yeah not good, not good at all. The Sabres will face the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.
