RECAP:
Tyler Ennis made an impact early on in this game. Evan Rodrigues made a great pass to a wide open Ennis and he beat Markstrom to give the Sabres the 1-0 lead. Tim Murray is on the lookout for a 4th line center and I think Murray won’t have to look very far because E-Rod may fit that role perfectly.

Alex Burrows was going at it with Robin Lehner and Justin Falk levelled him. I’ve really liked Falk’s play as of late and he was very deserving of that contract extension he was given last week.

Bo Horvat deflected a point shot by Ben Hutton past Lehner to tie the game at 1.

Eichel turned the puck over, Daniel Sedin tried to beat Lehner short-side, and the puck went off the post and right to Michael Chaput who put it past Lehner to give the Canucks the 2-1 lead.

Ristolainen made a nice pass to Kyle Okposo who had the wide open net and the Sabres tied the game with 15 seconds to go in the 1st period.

Alex Burrows took a shot and the puck deflected off of Justin Falk’s stick and it squeaked past Lehner and the Canucks took the 3-2 lead.

The Sabres took yet another too many men on the ice penalty. They took one last night against the Leafs too.

Mike Chaput scored his 2nd goal of the game right as Jake McCabe’s penalty expired. I don’t understand why this team is so undisciplined when their penalty kill is just so terrible. They have to stay out of the box no questions asked.

The Sabres have been absolutely brutal in 2nd periods this year end they continued that trend tonight.

Not the Sabres best game tonight at all but it wasn’t that bad of a game overall by them either. They took way too many penalties and hopefully they can rebound from this loss on Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators.
